arms and armor for animals
I had an idea, which is rare, and thought I would share.
Why not allow an armor/inventory for pets. The best thing I could come up with is to make it similar to the monk/necro tattoos so that there isnt a major art change to have to deal with. Tattoos for pets could do the following
AR 10-50 (this is added to avg pet AR)
then special runes for pets only
rune of bleeding +10% chance to cause bleeding with attacks
rune of crippling +10% chance to cause cripple with attacks
rune of the vampire +10% to steal (2-10) life with critical hits
rune of viciousness +10% to critical hit
rune of haste +25% to speed
I originally thought of barding for pets but then the art would be a pain for Anet. the tattoos would not even have to show on pet they could be explained as ritual style markings or something like what u get at the vet for IDing your pets.

This would be cool and make pets more customizable.

Because then you would give rangers more storage space then other characters. They already have armour like all other creatures have an armour value, it depends on their level.
I like the runes better since pets need a boost, but 25% speed might be a bit much.

the inventory comment was more about a (I) type window to access armor for the pets. Not as storage. Thats my fault for not being more clear.
As for the speed it was an idea. I would like to see suggestions from the others here.

Eh...being a beast master(on occassion) anything new for pets is usually a plus, but not when it can unbalance the gameplay...and this would unbalance it.

if this does get put through, then they would have to make it so that an animal without armour would have less AI than it did before this idea would have been introduced, just to make the game balanced.
Pets already have a set defense, but introducing armour could mean more grinding for PvE Beastmasters to get the right stuff just to make them PvP grade, which is something alot of people could do without.
sorry^^ /notsigned

I dont PvP so I didnt think much of it. Make the runes like regular ones
rune of minor bleeding +5% to cause bleed
major 10% -25 life
superior +20% -50 life
let runes of vigor apply for some balance.
With PvE when u are lvl 20 and u party is, then u walk up on lvl 24+ enemies. and there are at times more then 8 (your party) enemies that is rather unbalanced. I use henches alot due to the large amount of leechers that seem to have sprouted up. It would be nice to have something comparable to the enemy.
With PvP, even if your pets were upgraded, so would the other players. like any build it would come into or fall out of favor fairly quickly.

and for a noob question: what does the /signed thing mean?

I like the idea . Along with making thier more things to strive for for people who have beaten the game. Also it puts beastmasters back into the game more.

They already have an AL of 80. Let me try my hand at this. Here is my theory, there would be a 5th Weapon Combo slot for when Charm Animal is on your skill bar. You would be able to set two things to it, Pet Weapon and Pet Armor. Would work just like a Right Hand and Off Hand. It wouldn't have to change the look of the pet, but heres a few examples.
Pet Weapons
Barbed Claws - Lengthens bleeding duration on foes by 33%
Poisonous Claws - Lengthens poison duration on foes by 33%
Cruel Claws - Lengthens deep wound duration on foes by 33%
Heavy Claws - Lengthens weakness duration on foes by 33%
Silincing Claws - Lengthens dazed duration on foes by 33%
Crippling Claws - Lengthens crippled duration on foes by 33%
Vampiric Fangs - Life Stealing: 3 Life Regeneration: -1
Sundering Claws - Armor Penetration 20% (chance 20%)
Pet Armors
Hardy - +7 Armor
Mythical - +12 (vs. Elemental attacks)
Rugged - +12 (vs. Physical attacks)
Hefty - +45 Health
Tactical - +15 Armor (While in stance)
In PvE they would be purchased in PvP they would be selected. In PvP the cost would preferably be half the cost it is to forge Human weapons and armor, with respective materials and what not. The Armor would be crafted at the regular Armor Crafter and the Weapons would be crafted at the regular weapon crafter.
